expressed sincere sympathy to Rick McAdams in the recent passing of
Rick’s mother, Amelia Shefty. The Roundtable will place the book,
Italy: The Food and the Lifestyle, in the Florence-Lauderdale Public
Library in her memory.
- Lee Freeman reported that he will soon be
corresponding by e-mail with Jim Matterer regarding the menu for the
2005 Feast.
- Billy Warren reported that a book on Heraldry has
been placed in the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library in memory of Mr.
Larry Joe Young, the late father of Her Highness Queen Salana Letsinger.
- Billy Warren circulated the Master List of
Roundtable members and asked everyone to make updates on their U.S. mail
address, telephone number and e-mail address. Updates following today’s
meeting will go directly to the computer and e-mailed to all members.
- Darlene Freemon reported that the Royal
Archivists, Laura Braddick and Na’Koal Springer, are busy updating our
scrapbooks with publicity materials from the 2004 Feast and Faire. They
are recruiting an 11th grader to work with them so the
process can continue after this school year.
- Brittany Letsinger won a DVD of “King Arthur” in a
drawing for a door prize. This was a fun addition to the meeting!
- Billy Warren distributed copies of the 10-27-04
evaluation session done by the Roundtable for the 2004 Feast and Faire.
These items resulted from the group’s review of those minutes:
- Lee Freeman agreed to chair a committee to get a
printed program for the Feast completed by September 1. These people
agreed to serve on the committee:
i.
Martin Dean
ii.
Her Highness Queen Salana
iii.
William Freeman
iv.
Maria Morgan
- Billy Warren will contact the head of
Panhellinics at UNA to ask if members of Fraternities and Sororities
will act as servers at this year’s Feast.
- Her Highness Queen Salana will offer to help Don
Green with the painting of the canvases for the portable walls at the
Feast.
- Martin Dean suggested that a local troupe
similar to the one from Tennessee be formed, with open auditions in
the community since it would require more people than the Roundtable
could provide. The fee that we pay the Tennessee group could go to
the local troupe instead. Billy Warren will add that suggestion to
the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Board of Directors.
- William Freeman reported that he is already
communicating via e-mail with potential entertainers for our 2005 Faire.
- Billy Warren welcomed Maria Morgan back to the
Roundtable.
