- Jim Matterer:
- Presented an autographed copy of his new
cookbook to the Roundtable;
- Made a formal presentation to Queen Salana of
one of this year’s Feast cookies which bear her image;
- Announced that the lucky bean cake at this
year’s Feast will contain an authentic Roman coin which is more than
2,000 years old; and
- Offered to lend some male Renaissance costumes
to servers at the Feast if they are needed.
- Sue Bevis stated that she has given Danny at the
Coliseum a copy of the layout design for the Feast.
- In the drawing, Don Green won a copy of
Renfaire Tales, a new book by Alabama author Danny White.
- Lee Freeman:
- Thanked everyone who attended the lecture he
presented at the public library last Sunday (October 9) and
encouraged everyone to attend the lecture this Sunday (October 16)
to be presented by Dr. Tom Osborne; and
- Stated that the printed commemorative program
will be ready in time for the Feast.
- Don Green:
- Reported that he has arranged for the truck
rental to haul props from the storage areas to the Coliseum and back
again; and
- Stated that he and Keith Hawthorne will load
things tonight at the Parks and Recreation Department storage site
and Friday morning at the Central Office of the school system.

- These people agreed to bring fresh ivy to the
Coliseum on Saturday for use in decorating the tables: Carol Burhans,
Larry Kimbrough, Mary Nicely.
- Sue Bevis agreed to create a certificate for the
person(s) with the best table decorations at the Feast (the winner to be
chosen by Her Majesty the Queen Salana).
- Billy Warren distributed copies of the 2005 poster
and the new brochure to those who had not already received them.

- William Freeman reported that we made
approximately 55 costumes at the workshop last Saturday. Billy Warren
reported that Darlene Freemon’s high school students sorted through the
jewelry given to the Roundtable from the estate of the late Miki Parrish
while costumes were being made. This jewelry will serve as a fundraiser
for the Roundtable as well for $1.00 per piece. Billy thanked everyone
who generously gave of their time to help at the workshop. He also
thanked Ken Claunch of Ken’s Sewing Center for, once again, lending us
two sewing machines.
- Aubrey Gaskins offered tickets to Roundtable
members for its Feast on Thursday, October 20, 7 p.m., at Stephano’s.
- Billy Warren corrected item #7 in the 10-05-05
Roundtable meeting minutes. These are the people who presented free
Feast tickets to Larry Bowser, Manager of Marriott Shoals: Ann Iaria,
John Iaria, Lee Freeman, Paul Daniel, William Freeman.
- Billy Warren reported that he has provided full
information about the Faire to Cathy Myers who will use it in a
publicity piece in the Times-Daily.
- Billy Warren stated that he has placed the order
with Sutherland Sight and Sound for the sound system and follow spot to
be used at the Feast.
