  1. Billy Warren reminded everyone that:
    1. This year’s Feast is Saturday, October 15
    2. This year’s Faire is Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23

  2. Anne Iaria shared the business address, e-mail address and telephone number of the Valley Planet which is published in Huntsville and is a great media outlet for the Feast and Faire.

  3. Don Green and Keith Hawthorne brought a sample of the ten canvas-covered “walls” that they are creating for the Feast.  They assembled it at the meeting so the Roundtable members could get an actual view of it. Each “wall” will be eight feet tall, ten feet wide and two feet deep mounted on ½-inch PVC.  Everyone agreed that the “walls” will be terrific and offered a hearty applause for Don and Keith.

  4. Donna Miles stated that it is time to replace some of our banners and to add more to the collection.  Billy Warren stated that he will bring our collection to the May meeting of the Roundtable so we can evaluate them.

  5. John Iaria stated that we should take action regarding our web site since it is no longer accessible.  Everyone agreed, of course.  Billy Warren stated that this will be a topic of consideration at the April meeting of the Board of Directors so we can get the web site on a dependable footing.

  6. Anne Iaria suggested that a caravan be formed for the trip to the Tennessee Renaissance Festival on Saturday, May 7.  It was agreed that anyone who wishes to join the caravan should meet on the parking lot at Richards Education Center at 7:00 a.m.  The caravan will leave no later than 7:30 a.m.  For those in the caravan and other Roundtable members who might go on their own, it is hoped that all members will meet at the central beer pavilion at the Tennessee Festival at 12:00 noon.

  7. Carol Burhans stated that brochures about the Faire should be placed in rest stops on Interstate 65.  Billy Warren responded that our brochures will be placed in the rest stops by a staff member from the North Alabama Tourist Association (NATA).  It is one of the services afforded by our paid NATA membership.

  8. Billy Warren reminded everyone that our poster contest ends on Friday, May 6, and that we will select the winner at our May meeting.

  9. Aubrey Gaskins announced that a full buffet is now available at Stephano’s on Court Street, Monday – Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  There are now 30 seats in the restaurant.

  10. In a drawing, Theresa Kanka won a book in the Harry Potter series.

  11. Billy Warren distributed copies of two possible versions (one in Middle English and one in Modern English) of a proclamation written by Brother Denis (Lee Freeman) for Donna and David Mitchell to present to the Royalty at the Arkansas Renaissance Faire and for Donna Miles to present to the Royalty at the Ohio Renaissance Faire.

  12. Jim Lake:
    1. Announced that the current play (“Murder in Green Meadows”) at the Zodiac Theater is Tuesday through Saturday nights this week and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24; and
    2. Announced a benefit golf tournament with proceeds to be used to take 250 disabled children and adults to Auburn for the Special Olympics.
